This recovery is driven by two converging phenomena. On one hand, memecoin activity on Solana has seen a spectacular resurgence, once again attracting traders seeking quick returns. On the other hand, prediction markets — a sector experiencing explosive growth — are heavily using the Solana blockchain for their operations, as reported by CoinTelegraph in its article “SOL rallies as Solana memecoins, prediction market activity surge: Are bulls back?”
Additionally, BitMart US recently launched one of the first regulated prediction market offerings in the United States. This regulatory breakthrough could provide a legitimate framework for a sector drawing attention from European regulators — the ESMA recently warning that many prediction market contracts may already face a retail ban in the EU.
Bitcoin, the leading crypto asset, was trading around $62,800 at the time of these events, while Ethereum was exchanging hands at approximately $1,760. The total crypto market capitalization stood at roughly $2.28 trillion, with Bitcoin dominance at 55.1%.
